| Just a quick note to say that the caravan is now clean and ready for boxing day ! to copey's horror we cleaned for three and a half hours last night even though he insisted it wasnt dirty ! like hell not !!!! then afterwards i helped Elaine with all the christmas cards to the members so they should be dropping through your doors any day ! with a note and picture of Malcolm 16th June 1943 to 1st April 2007.... cant believe its been that long since he passed to the other side ! hope he's looking down taking it easy and laughing his head off at us running around like headless chickens... christmas was Malcolms best time of the year he loved the shopping decorating the house ! its going to be a strange one this year ! - look forward to seeing everyone boxing day thats coming, Ian is closing the booking in this evening on line - you will have however up until Saturday 12 noon to do it by telephone because thats when i place the order for the bacon and sausage and rolls regards Beverley | |

| Well its far away as ever again ! hope santa was kind to you all. Boxing Morning clout ! course of events - Christmas Day what time do you want the alarm set for 6 am i said - having spent most of the last week - really shattered and didnt want to be running around thought get to the caravan for seven thirty no rushing around easy done, actually woke up at 7.10 am when Richard jumped out of bed and realised the time, he'd switched the alarm off ! hoory - so we arrived at the caravan at 8.30am after dropping Morgan off at my parents house, because i had strict instructions the lad (my dog) wasnt to go down the farm and get dirty (sure my mom thinks he's a baby) . 66 slices of bacon and 40 sausages later - I am pleased to say it was the biggest boxing morning clout ever - the results will follow shortly when Richard goes back down the caravan to get the piece of paper i left ! We will be organising a shoot earlier in to 2008 so watch this space - Thanks to everyone who helped | |

| We wish to invite yourself and your fellow club Members to our Invite Open Shoot on the 12th October 2008 at Lawton’s shoot ground. Start time is 10-30 am and the course is 18 or could be 20 3D targets twice around ( no 24s) held on our major undulating shoot ground. This shoot is held under our own insurance cover, a copy of which will be as normal on display in our club house, we would not hold an open shoot without the insurance documents on display, so rest assured you are covered when you attend an Association Invite Shoot. | |
| Tea, Coffee and maybe a few cakes etc. will be available but there will be no catering this time so please bring your own food. | |

| Well most of you will have seen our News report about Frankley not attending this years Scarecrow Weekend at Belbroughton, I was told Tuesday evening of a meeting taking place because four or so of the farms could not allow parking on their land because of the bogg ! caused by the weather conditions. I know particularly Edward at Bell Ends told me hes been unable to collect the hay ! So much so it would appear due to the lack of parking facilities and no doubt what we have said all along safety issues they have decided to cancel. This is a great shame because people are relying on the funds to help their budgets. The School PTA needed more money for their budgets thats why Frankleys Catering was declined and they wanted to do their own ? heaven only knows what they are going to do now ? I hope the people involved took out some sort of insurance ? if there is such a thing. We wish them well in their quest anyway. Lets hope some one can get something together and 2009 is better for all concerned. | |

| Work is well underway - the debris you see in the picture after the flood is now gone, the help this week end's been tremendous always the same faces ! (i am mindful of the fact people have private lives but an hour would help ?). Gods been good and the weathers helped. | |

A Van load of pallets have been taken in and another will be going down next Saturday, You will see that Beverleys been working hard in the caravan, sorry lads the arms chairs have gone, the wife didnt like the draylon, the carpets gone too. Best Wilton now in place, also by next week end the lilac and white walls will also be gone when she starts painting, the bathrooms been carpeted out too. if you are coming to work and want breakfast and lunch can you let us know by the thursday because she can work the numbers then. Morgan (the westie) is so tired i have had to carry him from the van in home we have been back four hours and not a move from him. | Please try to keep the mud out its hard work, slip your wellies off if you need to spend a penny this takes two minutes. | |
| All cups are ours the bird ones, white and blue. (so just make sure they are washed up clean please if you use one) | |
| Do not use any of the equipment in the yellow lid box on the cooker that is the dog clubs this is for their use only. | |

| Well what a day - my arms are dropping off and i have only got part of the second wall painted in the caravan ! and i fear it may need three coats who paints a caravan lilac. ok beggers cant be choosers it came at the right price. The dogs are again shattered - Keith and Trevor spent most of the day in the stream shore in up the bank. Every one loved it and most of all it was like old times (the good old days) No its never going to be the same with the loss of Malcolm and John. But you know what they were there 100% - the dingle's atmosphere was sureal - everyone laughing and joking the banter ! What Malcolm and John Loved most of all. | Tuesday last was our first evening back at Redhill, I was pleasing to see every ones faces who had received a visit from Father Christmas the new equipment being proudly banded about not to mention Sean who came to see us Boxing Day Morning but didn’t bring his bow because he didn’t want it to get dirty wey hey mate you will soon get into the swing and the fact that handled with care in a wood and cleaned after it stops like new any way. (God Bless) - Subscriptions for 2009 now will give you 15 months cover those who join in January because of having to change to NFAS guide lines. Richard needs help down the farm for the new project I appreciate it’s been minus 10 etc and this will only be done when the weather picks up. I have to appreciate he needs like others a bit of me time. (His words not mine) - No I still havent had the decorating done but watch this space (me going to sort and he’s going to have to pay) Christmas was quiet which is what we wanted but it still wasn’t long enough to re charge the batteries 2008 was a hard year. 2009 we intend to move forward and put some more shoots on at Bell End Farm, I am particularly mindful it is Frankley Bowmen’s 25th Anniversary year - taking ideas of how people think we should mark this occasion? Nearing also the 1st Anniversary of Big Johns demise and the 2nd for Malcolm Archer our beloved founder. Not a day goes by without some type of comment, Malcolm would have done this or loved this. He was a big family man, his daughter in law is heavily pregnant with her Second Child which will be Elaine and Malcolm’s third grandchild. | Frankley‘s port folio i.e. insurance up graded etc and bosses been put into place a big thank you to Don and Trevor for this because they did the ground work it will cost you nothing and there is a bar for any recreational drink you may want later after shooting and certainly never before. We have a burst at the caravan the water is off and also major leak in the bathroom so if you’re going down take your own water until it is fixed please. It’s the weather that is causing it and we have to devise a wind breaker for the pipes. | Well to say its been seven weeks since we closed at Redhill for the Summer and now tomorrow evening we open again at 8pm until Christmas I for one can not believe how the times flown. Traumatic Seven Weeks is an understatement. Morgan the Westie God Bless him ripped his Dew Claw and had to have it removed – two weeks later he not well £2,126.35p later Morgan is Great ! so if I had of had sold the home to make sure he was ok then so be it ! White Dog Syndrome (in other works) they didn’t have a clue. Then to add insult to injury last week he cracked a back claw and had to have another operation to remove this which resulted in an ear infection, so Round Barnett Hill Garden Centre Last Sunday I was being stopped and asked was the beautiful boy ok when really every one wanted to say your dog looks like he’s been through world war three ! hence the reason why Richards Been Dog less down the Farm. | |

| I have sent an e mail to Ian the webby, however feel very upset after this evening's events enought to put the computer on at nearly mid night ! - Every one involved will know the second hand mark up of equipment is next to nothing, we said we would sell five bows after doing new strings, arrow rests and knocking points find ourselves in a situation because the people who have had the bows and want the remaining, did not want the bags they came in so they have been skipped. The owners widdow is upset because she could have had them back ? you know Frankley no one would cause intentional upset and with that in mind, we will no longer sell equipment via the club if some one wishes to put a notice on the website then they can do so but Frankley will not get involved, quiet honestly its more trouble than enough, Ian will put this on the News board in due course but for now I needed to make it perfectly clear. | You need to speak to Richard or myself as we need to be confident of your ability in a woodland enviroment. (that you are aware of safe shooting practices and you are not a risk to yourself (by getting shot)or to any others (by shooting them), there are some other safety issues that we need to cover, as up to 200 archers all shooting in the same wood needs everybody to all be fully aware of and to abide by the rules) then its just a case of getting it signed off by our coach. regards Mick | |

| well just wanted to say in had a real nice time playing with my mate Roo on Sat who got attacked by these horrid dogs in the summer but he was ok with me after i showed him I was alright. So tired last night dad carried me up stairs and I slept till 7.30 am this morning been to nan and granpapi's today slept slept and slept - now in bed on dads side so I am going to fight him for it.
